When this finally dropped it did not disappoint. Full of vibrant, colorful melodic music; he has definitely created a unique sound for himself. Great collaborations.

One of the more surprising releases of 2009 given his previous output. He has been known for his hazy, tape drenched guitar acoustics, but this album is all over the place, spanning psych, hip-hop, folk, IDM and more. Some may say it's unEVEN, we call it unBELIEVABLE.

Beautifully detailed music. Every track begins slowly, with a simple, subdued intro that eventually fills the bucket with so much red wine that it spills over onto your brain and STAINS IT. It STAINS YOUR BRAIN. and it's like a gigantic comfy pillow.

1. Hudson Mohawke - Butter
One of the most highly anticipated albums of 2009, and for good reason. Ever since hearing his Heeters beat tape from a while back, we've all been blown away by hudson's chops ss sp osc s ops k.
Butter takes all of the glittery cartoon synths, wacked out drum patterns and butchered vocals and ups it a notch further. Complete ADD shit and we love it. The only album that made all of our top 10 lists over here.
