Alex Botwin (stage name Alex B...not sure what it means, but I'm sure its got mad crazy connotations) is a stud just like ^^these^^ serious horses. The very talented bassist for Boulder-by-way-of-Memphis band Pnuma Trio and Eliot Lipp's live-band side project Lipp Service, Botwin is also a ridiculously prolific producer of smooth, colorful beats like these on his free beat tape. With Pnuma Trio and Lipp Service drummer Lane Shaw (who, I'd just like to add, looks like the older Pete from "Pete and Pete"), they play a lot of these songs out live as the Pnuma Duo/Pnuma PA (that COLORADO style of performance), which is SOOOO sick to see, but unfortunately, none of their shows are recorded. Nonetheless, the studio versions sound supremely dope as well, and I anxiously await the next Alex B release. Enjoy.
